Association of Bulgarian Engineers in Canada
The Association of Bulgarian Engineers in Canada ABEC is a non-profit
organization without share capital.
Eligible members are Canadian
Residents, who possess a Degree From Technical Engineering Universities.
The Association of Bulgarian Engineers in Canada ABEC functions include
promoting the arts and sciences connected with the economical production by
means of organizing technical meetings, discussions and distributing
technical publications.
The goals of ABEC are:
Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technology;
Support and recognition of excellence in engineering;
Assisting, advising and collaborating with members seeking employment;
Fraternity;
Helping Bulgarian Engineers towards PEO Licensing and assisting the
seeking of their employment, is the main goal of our Association.
At same time, ABEC unites the voice of all Bulgarian engineers of all
disciplines of engineering and will work towards embracing its members from
coast to coast in this vast country - Canada.
To be able to achieve these goals we are building our infrastructure on
the base of Web site as Platform with the three major tools:
- Information - source of information towards integration of
its Members into the Canadian and North American engineering and
cultural environment. Providing the links for Licensing, Education,
Professional and Trade Associations, Job markets and Software developers
with their Communication Centers.
- Communication – networking among ourselves for any of
technical, business and social matters, related to our profession or our
family, it has always been a booster of confidence and self-esteem for
professional group as ours, on the base of Bulgarian ethnic background.
Networking with other professional groups and ethnicity will help us to
enhance our vision on the matter.
- Connections – “the good old connections”. Meeting the young
engineers with the experienced, established generation, who went through
so many difficulties and barriers, will be of benefit for both sides.
Exchanging ideas, memories and news will turn to exciting event. And what
better time for that to happen, than during the Meetings of ABEC while
chatting over a cup of coffee or tea.
