Surveyors is pleased to announce that Tania Batchvarova, O.L.S., O.L.I.P.of
Orillia, Ontario
Has successfully completed
all of the academic and experience requirements for professional membership in
the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors.
Ms. Batchvarova received her
Master of Geodesy from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering &
Geodesy, Sofia, Bulgaria. She then completed additional university courses
required by the Association. Her formal education was followed by a required
term of closely monitored practical experience and by additional formal
examinations in Statute Law and Professional Land Surveying. Tania now joins the
ranks of over 633 Ontario Land Surveyors/Ontario Land Information Professionals
who are responsible for the creation, maintenance and recording of land
boundaries and parcels in the province of Ontario. OLSs/OLIPs are also engaged
in aerial photogrammetric mapping, hydrographic surveying of the beds of lakes
and rivers, topographic surveying, geodetic surveying for precise determination
of the shape of the Earth's surface and are involved in the development and
maintenance of Geographic Information System (GIS) as Geographic Information

In Acknowledgment of this announcement, the Association of
Bulgarian Engineers in Canada congratulates Mrs. Tania Batchvarova.
The Association of Bulgarian Engineers in Canada encourages
all of its members towards their goal of obtaining of a professional designation
in Canada and supports their integration in the Canadian engineering
environment.
Mrs. Tania Batchvarova holds a Master's degree in Civil
Engineering with specialization in Water Supply Treatment and Wastewater from
the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering & Geodesy in Sofia,
Bulgaria and a Master's degree in Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography from
the same University. She is also licensed by the Agency of Cadastre, Sofia,
Bulgaria under Order No.1370
Tania has an extensive background work experience in a
previous role as a Project Manager and owner of "PROJE"
company in a large scale project funded by the World Bank and PHARE Program of
the European Union to implement unified systems for digital cadaster and
property rights registration in Bulgaria. She has also been contracted by the Ministry
of Agriculture and Forests, Sofia, Bulgaria to maintain and update the agricultural
cadaster for seven municipalities, after restitution of the agricultural lands
and forests in Bulgaria were carried out.
ABEC's Members are proud of Mrs. Tania Batchvarova and her
determination of completing successfully the university courses taken at Ryerson
University in Toronto, Canada, overcoming all barriers put in front of the
Internationally Trained Professionals and of her well-deserved recognition and
courageous achievements in Canada. During her studies at Ryerson University, Mrs.
Tania Batchvarova has published a paper regarding "TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING AND TERRAIN MODELING FROM MULTI-SENSOR SATELLITE IMAGERY".
